I loved this idea of family Memory game which I found on Pinterest. Family and friends are important to young children, not only in social sense but also as means of identifying themselves and their place in the world. This fun family memory game will help child to establish who her family members are.
And the truth is that it’s so easy to make. You really don’t need to have any special skill to make this fun personalized game. You just need to pick favourite family photos, choose colourful  background,  get wooden tiles, some glue and little time to spare. But it’s worth it by all means.

I made 16 square wooden pieces,  each 2,5 x 2,5′ covered with family pictures on one side and scrapbook paper on back side. Glued them with Mod Podge which works perfect as a glue and as a sealant. I got 8 matching pairs of our family.

Although I sewed a bag for storage in the end I’ve decided to make it more fun. I wrapped each pair in gift wrapping paper! You know how kids often like tearing wrapping paper more than the gift itself 🙂 Is going to be so fun to discover wooden pairs.
