Monsters Inc. Themed Quiet Book

Custom made quiet books are my favourite things to sew. When I receive custom order it blows my imagination how to make activity pages.

One of my favourite books I’ve made was Monsters Inc. themed  quiet book for little 2-year-old Orah. First custom page was cover, adding her name and butterfly, as she loves butterflies.

There were some pages I usually do in almost all of my books and play with variety of details, depending on gender, theme and buyer’s preferences: garden page with carrots and peekaboo rabbit, apple tree, shapes, numbers, matching colours – for girls button off flowers.

Her mom wanted her to learn spell her name. It fitted perfectly on one page with pocket so she could practice fine motor skills placing letters in it when she is finished.

I did a lot of details on Peekaboo Owl quiet book page: owl on a string hiding in the tree, nest hidden under the leaves and snail behind the grass. There was a little felt butterfly sitting on a mushroom.

In the middle of the book Monsters Mike and Sully found their place.  Mike got zipper for his mouth and pipe cleaners for hands and legs. Sully just had one arm loose so that door could be opened.

Behind the door Randall Boggs was hiding.

You will notice little bed. Yeah, as she wanted clothesline and dress up doll I immediately knew little dress up girl is going to look as little girl from movie – Boo.

Boo got her night-gown and other clothes that could be stick with velcro or hang to clothesline. Violet monster costume Boo bearing in a movie was my add-on as surprise.

My heart melted when I’ve got photo how she is hugging little Boo. So precious!

Hi, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues.

When I look at your website in Opera, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.

I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, fantastic blog!
