Oh yes, who doesn’t love pumpkins and Halloween stories. Our favourite book as Halloween treat is ‘The Itsy Bitsy Pumpkin’  It has beautiful colour illustrations and my daughter loves the story which inspired me to make Halloween flannel board story about pumpkins.

Materials: 

• PDF pattern  
• felt sheets in assorted colours
• sharp scissors
• permanent marker or puff fabric paint
• hot glue gun or felt glue

Make your own Five Little Pumpkins felt board story and play can begin. Below you will find free printable template Five Little Pumpkins. If you prefer you can also make finger play using a template. Use marker to draw eyes and mouth and hot glue to connect pieces. Whatever you decide I’m sure your kids are gonna love it at as it is so fun and easy to play.

 Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, “Oh, my it’s getting late”
The second one said, “There are witches in the air.”
The third one said, “But we don’t care.”
The fourth one said, “Let’s run, let’s run!”
The fifth one said, “Isn’t Halloween fun?”

Then Woooooo went the wind
And OUT went the lights.

And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
